Okay, so I wanted to brush up on my AP Psychology, especially the big names, you know? So I decided to make a little project out of it. I figured, why not share how I went about it, in case it helps someone else out there.

Getting Started
First, I just grabbed a piece of paper and jotted down all the names I could remember from my old textbook and notes. It wasn’t pretty, just a messy list. Think Freud, Skinner, Pavlov… all those usual suspects.
Digging Deeper
Then, I hit the internet. I mostly used simple Google searches, and honestly, Wikipedia was my best friend here. I didn’t want to get bogged down in super complex academic papers. I just wanted quick summaries of who each person was and their main thing.
- For each person, I tried to find:
- Their main theory or contribution (like, what are they famous for?)
- Maybe a key experiment they did
- Any fun facts or easy ways to remember them
Making it Stick
Just reading wasn’t enough, though. I needed a way to actually remember this stuff. So, I decided to make some flashcards. Nothing fancy, just index cards with the person’s name on one side and their key info on the other. I also started color-coding them by, like, field of psychology. It helped me organize things better in my head.
The Final Touch
Finally, I spent some time just reviewing the flashcards. I did this a few times a week, mixing them up and testing myself. I even had my friend quiz me a couple of times, which was actually pretty helpful. And that is, it’s quite simple and easy!

It wasn’t anything revolutionary, but it really helped me get a better handle on the important people in AP Psychology. And the whole process made it feel less like studying and more like, I don’t know, a mini-research project.
