Alright, today I tried out this thing called a drawing psychology test. It was pretty interesting, so I thought I’d share my experience with you guys.

First, I just found this test online. It is not hard to find. You know, just do some searches and then you can find some. I picked one that seemed simple enough. The instructions were basically to draw a picture with a house, a tree, and a person. Sounds easy, right? I thought I was a decent artist, at least back in school.
So, I grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil. I started with the house. I drew a simple square with a triangle on top for the roof. Then I added some windows and a door. Nothing fancy, just a regular-looking house. It had some windows and a big door in the center. I even drew a little chimney with some smoke coming out. It looked cozy.
- House: A basic square with a triangular roof.
- Windows: Two on each side of the door, small and square.
- Door: Centered, with a doorknob.
- Chimney: On the roof, with squiggly lines for smoke.
Next, I moved on to the tree. I drew a trunk and some branches. Then I added a bunch of leaves. I tried to make it look full and healthy. I remembered those big, leafy trees from my childhood, so I tried to make it like one of those.
- Trunk: Thick and sturdy.
- Branches: Reaching upwards and outwards.
- Leaves: Lots of them, clustered together.
Finally, I drew the person. I opted for a simple stick figure. It had a circle for a head, a line for the body, and lines for arms and legs. I even gave it a smiley face. This part was a little tougher. I wanted to make the person look happy and relaxed. I added some hair and tried to make the arms look like they were waving. It is kind of like I am waving to you now.

- Head: A circle with a smiley face.
- Body: A straight line.
- Arms and Legs: Stick-like, with one arm raised in a wave.
After I finished drawing, I looked up what each element supposedly meant. The interpretations were kind of cool, but I’m not sure how much I believe in them. Still, it was fun to see what my drawing might say about me.
What I found out
I read that the house represents your family life and feelings about your home. My cozy house supposedly means I value a stable and happy home. Then, the tree is supposed to represent your inner self and how you view your growth. My big, leafy tree might mean I see myself as growing and strong. And the person, well, that’s supposed to reflect your self-perception. My waving, happy stick figure could mean I see myself as friendly and approachable.
Honestly, it was a fun little exercise. It got me thinking about myself and my feelings. I’m not sure if I’ll do it again, but it was definitely a good way to spend some time and do a bit of self-reflection. I recommend giving it a try if you’re bored or just curious about yourself.
It is not really a big deal, but just a fun thing to do. Try it out and see what you can draw!
