Alright, so I’ve been thinking about leveling up my career, you know? And I figured, why not dive deeper into psychology? It’s always fascinated me, how people tick and all that. So, I started looking into getting a master’s degree in psychology at Drexel University. Let me tell you, it’s been quite a journey, and I wanna share all the messy details with you.

Digging into the Program
First thing I did was hit up Drexel’s website. I spent hours, honestly, just reading through all the info about their psychology master’s programs. They’ve got a few different tracks, like Clinical Psychology, Applied Cognitive and Brain Sciences, and even a Psychology and Law track. It was a bit overwhelming at first, trying to figure out which one was the best fit for me. I made a ton of notes, comparing the courses, the faculty, and the research opportunities.
Figuring Out the Requirements
Then came the fun part – figuring out what I needed to actually apply. It wasn’t just about having a bachelor’s degree. They wanted transcripts, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and GRE scores. Ugh, the GRE. I hadn’t taken that thing in years. So, I dusted off my old test prep books and started studying. Let me tell you, it was a grind. I was working full-time, so I had to squeeze in study sessions whenever I could. Late nights, early mornings, you name it.
Gathering My Materials
While I was wrestling with the GRE, I also had to get my application materials together. I reached out to a couple of my old professors for letters of recommendation. Thankfully, they were happy to help. Then there was the personal statement. I spent weeks writing and rewriting that thing, trying to explain why I wanted to pursue this degree and why Drexel was the right place for me. It was tough, trying to put all my thoughts and feelings into words.
Applying and Waiting
Finally, after months of work, I submitted my application. And then came the waiting. It was agonizing, let me tell you. I checked my email like a hundred times a day, hoping for some news. I kept going over and over and try to find out if there was anything I can improve. There was none I could find.

The Decision
Then, one glorious morning, I got the email. I was in! I couldn’t believe it. I actually got accepted into the Drexel psychology master’s program. I was so excited, I did a little happy dance right there in my kitchen. I called my family, my friends, and told everyone I know the great news. This gonna be a huge change in my life, and I am so looking forward to it.
It’s been a wild ride, getting to this point. A lot of hard work, a lot of stress, but totally worth it. I’m so excited to start this new chapter and see where it takes me. If you’re thinking about going back to school, I say go for it! It’s never too late to chase your dreams.
