Okay, so today I decided to dive into something a bit different – checking out the Inez Psychological Well-Being Clinic. I’ve been feeling a bit…off lately, you know? Just stressed and anxious, and I figured it was time to maybe get some professional input.
First, I did some digging online. Looked at a bunch of different clinics and therapists in the area. It’s kinda overwhelming, honestly! So many options, so many different approaches. Eventually, I stumbled upon Inez and it just felt…right. Their website was clean, easy to navigate, and the language they used was welcoming and not overly clinical.
The Initial Contact:
I decided to send them an email. I hate phone calls, especially when I’m already feeling anxious. I just laid out what I was going through – the constant worry, the trouble sleeping, the whole nine yards. I kept it pretty brief, but I wanted to give them a sense of what was up.
- Wrote a draft email, reread it like five times.
- Hit send and immediately regretted it (typical me).
- Got a response the next day! Super fast.
They replied with a really kind email, suggesting a consultation to see if they were the right fit for me. No pressure, just a chance to chat. I liked that. So, I scheduled a time.
The Consultation:
I was nervous as heck walking in. The waiting room was nice, though. Calm colors, comfy chairs, even some plants. It didn’t feel like a sterile doctor’s office, which I appreciated.
I met with Dr. (whoever it would be), and we just…talked. She asked me about what I was experiencing, what my goals were, and what I was hoping to get out of therapy. I felt like she actually listened, you know? Didn’t interrupt, didn’t judge. It was surprisingly easy to open up, even though I’m usually pretty reserved.
We talked for about an hour. She explained her approach, which is a mix of different techniques, apparently. Sounded good to me, honestly, I’m not picky. I just want to feel better.
By the end of the consultation, I felt…hopeful. Like maybe I could actually work through this stuff. We scheduled a follow-up appointment, and I left feeling lighter than I had in months. It’s just the beginning, of course, but it felt like a good first step.
I Will keeping up the record if I got any progress next time!
