Okay, so I’ve been wanting to brush up on my psychology basics, and I figured a good textbook would be the way to go. I’d heard good things about “Introduction to Psychology” by James Kalat, specifically the 12th edition. I wanted the PDF version because, you know, it’s 2024 and I like having things on my tablet.

Finding the Book
First, I did a quick search. The results were a bit of a mixed bag, to be honest.I decided I should go the bookshop, but they told me have to order and wait two weeks. Oh, I don’t like waiting!
The PDF Pursuit
I looked some infomation,I konw it is difficulty to get, but I also want a PDF version!
I thought, “Maybe someone, somewhere, has scanned this thing and put it online, or someone has electronic edition to sell.” It felt a bit like searching for a hidden level in a video game.
Then I thought, If I can get it, I should get one, because I have many time to cost in my daily life.

Success (Kind Of)
Finally,I asked one of my friend, he study psychology in the university, and he give me a suprise! He has the PDF version, that’s amzing! He told me that he used it in privious semester.
Reading and Note-Taking
I’ve started working my way through the first few chapters. The book is pretty dense, but Kalat does a decent job of explaining things.
I’m taking notes as I go, highlighting key terms, and jotting down questions in the margins. It’s a slow process, but I feel like I’m actually learning something.I’m using a simple text editor for now, but maybe I’ll switch to something fancier later.
What’s Next?
My plan is to keep plugging away at the book, maybe a chapter a week or so. I’m also thinking about looking for some supplementary materials, like online quizzes or videos, to help reinforce what I’m learning. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, I guess!

It might be a long road, but I really got that PDF, and it saved me some cash. It’s all about those small victories, right?
