Okay, so today I decided to dive into this whole “Industrial and Organizational Psychology” thing. I’ve always been curious about how workplaces tick, you know? Like, what makes a good boss, why some teams work so well together, and why some offices are just… toxic. So, I figured, why not start with a foundational book on the subject?

First, I hit up the internet. Just a simple search for “best industrial organizational psychology books.” I scrolled through a bunch of lists and reviews, and I noticed a few titles kept popping up.
My Research and Selection
- I checked out some online bookstores to see what was available and compare prices.
- I also looked at some reader reviews to get a feel for what people thought of each book. Was it easy to understand? Was it too academic? Did it feel relevant?
After spending a good hour, I narrowed it down to two or three options. Then I made the decision to order one that seemed like a good balance of being in-depth but also not too overwhelming for a newbie like me. I add it to my shopping cart and check it out.
Now, it’s the waiting game. I expecting that the book I ordered should arrive in a few days. I’m actually kind of excited to get started. I plan to carve out some time each day, maybe during my lunch break or before bed, to read a chapter or two.
I’ll also keep a notebook handy to jot down any interesting ideas or concepts that I come across. Maybe I’ll even try to apply some of the principles to my own workplace and see if it makes a difference.

I’m really curious to see what I discover and how it might change my perspective on work and the people I work with. It might not a short journey, I believe that it will be funny and worthwhile.
