Okay, so I decided to tackle this “Intro to Psychology Crash Course Psychology #1” thing. I’ve always been a bit curious about psychology, you know, how people’s minds work and all that. Figured this might be a good, quick way to dip my toes in.

First, I found the Crash Course video. Pretty easy, just a quick search and there it was.
Then, I watched the video. Took some notes, just scribbling down anything that seemed important or interesting. The guy in the video talks pretty fast, so I had to pause it a few times to keep up.
- Noticed they talked about the history of psychology – like, way back to ancient philosophers.
- Then they jumped to folks like Wundt and James – apparently, they’re big deals in psychology.
- Lots of different “schools” of thought – structuralism, functionalism, behaviorism… It got a little confusing, to be honest.
After watching, I looked for some kind of worksheet or questions to go along with it. Figured that would help me see if I actually understood anything. I found something that seemed like a decent set of questions, some fill in the blanks, that kind of simple questions.
I went through the questions, trying to answer them based on my notes and what I remembered from the video. Some of them were easy, others I had to go back and re-watch parts of the video to figure out.

My takeaway?
Psychology is, unsurprisingly, complex. It’s not just common sense. There’s a lot of history and different ways of thinking about the mind. I definitely didn’t become an expert after watching one video, but I feel like I have a slightly better grasp on what psychology is all about. It’s a starting point, I guess!
