Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole “Ivy Tech psychology” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I wanted to share what I did, bumps and all, because maybe it’ll help someone else out.

First, I started with the obvious – I needed to understand what was out there, So I spent a good chunk of time just browsing.
Getting My Bearings
I spent a couple of evenings just reading. I really wanted a feel for the landscape, you know? What classes are offered? I’m not gonna lie, it was a little overwhelming at first. There’s a lot of info, and sifting through it all took some patience.
Digging Deeper
After I got a general sense of things, I decided to get more specific. I made a list of things I found during my multiple searches:
- Introduction to Psychology
- Developmental Psychology
- Abnormal Psychology
- Social Psychology
I picked those because they sounded, well, interesting! Plus, I figured a broad range would give me a better idea of what I might actually enjoy studying.

Making it Happen
I realized I needed to put these findings somewhere, so I created a simple document and typed everything down to keep it organized. That helped a ton, actually. Seeing it all laid out made it less daunting.
Finally, after all that research, I felt like I had a decent *, I can at least say I tried, right? And that’s really the point – just diving in and figuring things out as you go. Hopefully, this little record of my experience helps someone else take the plunge, too!
