Okay, so this week I dived into the world of horoscopes, specifically trying out Jessica Lanyadoo’s weekly predictions. I’ve always been a bit curious about astrology, but never really got into it, you know? So, I thought, why not give it a shot and see what this whole horoscope thing is all about?
First off, I had to find my sign. Turns out I’m an Aquarius, born on February 10th. I read that Aquarius folks are supposed to be all about communication and resolving conflicts. That kinda resonated with me, because I really get upset with inefficiency. I then found Lanyadoo’s website and started browsing through her weekly horoscope section. It was pretty easy to navigate, just a simple page with all the signs listed.
I clicked on Aquarius and started reading. The horoscope talked about “practicing the fine art of being present” and “showing up authentically.” It also mentioned something about “seeking opportunities for growth without getting too attached to the details.” To be honest, it was a bit vague, but also kind of intriguing. It was like, yeah, I could try to be more present and authentic, whatever that means.
- Monday: I decided to start with the “being present” part. I usually rush through my day, always thinking about the next thing on my to-do list. But on Monday, I tried to focus on each task as I was doing it. Like, when I was having breakfast, I actually paid attention to the taste of the food instead of just gobbling it down. It was… different.
- Tuesday: I tried to “show up authentically.” I’m not exactly sure what that entails, but I took it as being more honest about my feelings. I had a disagreement with a coworker, and instead of just letting it slide, I calmly explained why I was upset. It felt good to get it off my chest, even though it was a bit uncomfortable. And he apologized to me!
- Wednesday: This was the day I focused on “seeking opportunities for growth.” I signed up for an online course about public speaking. It’s something I’ve always been interested in, but never really pursued. So, I guess that counts as growth? I didn’t get much detailed advice from the horoscope about how to do that, but it is pretty cool to do so.
- Thursday: The horoscope also mentioned “overwhelm, uncertainty, hope, care.” I guess I felt a bit of all of those things throughout the week. Especially uncertainty, because I wasn’t really sure if I was doing this whole horoscope thing right.
- Friday: By Friday, I was feeling a bit more relaxed. Maybe it was the horoscope, or maybe it was just the fact that it was Friday. Either way, I felt like I had accomplished something, even if it was just trying something new.
Overall, it was an interesting experiment. Did the horoscope change my life? Not really. But it did make me think a bit more about my actions and how I interact with the world. It’s like a little nudge in a different direction, you know?
I don’t think I’ll become a hardcore astrology believer, but I might check my horoscope again next week. Just out of curiosity. Plus, it’s kind of fun to see if any of the predictions actually come true. And I heard that Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are multipotentiality. I will try to get more information about that. Maybe there will be something new for me to practice. Who knows, maybe there’s something to this whole stars and planets thing after all.
