Okay, so today I decided to dive into “Lila and Eve” and really try to understand the characters’ psychological states. It’s not something I usually do, but I was curious!
Digging into the Movie
First, I watched the movie again. I mean, I’d seen it before, but this time I was paying super close attention to Lila and Eve’s actions, their words, everything. I took notes like crazy – little things, big things, it all went in my notebook.
My Messy Notes
- Lila’s initial breakdown – total devastation, obviously. But then, that quiet anger…
- Eve – so strong, so pushy. But is it all a front?
- The support group scenes – how they interact with others, who they connect with.
- The revenge stuff – is it grief, or something else?
My notes were a total mess, all over the place. But it helped me start to see some patterns. I started to list out possible disorders. I am Not an expert so. For Lila, maybe PTSD, definitely severe depression, possibly some form of complex grief? For Eve, it got trickier. Was she a sociopath? Did she have some kind of personality disorder that made her so manipulative?
Trying to Make Sense of It
I spent ages searching online, reading articles.I even tried to find some case studies that seemed similar, though of course, it’s all fiction, so it’s not going to be a perfect match.
Honestly, I ended up with more questions than answers. It’s tough to diagnose fictional characters, and I’m definitely no expert. But it was a really interesting exercise, made me think a lot about grief, trauma, and how differently people can react to the same horrible situation.

It is hard to get a conclusion but I tried.
