Okay, so today I decided to dive into the world of managerial psychology journals. It’s something I’ve been meaning to explore for a while, and I finally took the plunge. Here’s how it went:

Getting Started
First, I fired up my laptop and opened Google. I simply typed in “managerial psychology journal” and hit enter. I was presented with tons of results, which was a bit overwhelming at first.
Filtering Through the Noise
I started clicking on a few of the links, mostly the ones that looked official, you know, with names ending in “.org” or “.edu”. I avoided anything that looked too commercial or like a blog, at least for this initial deep dive. I wanted the real, academic stuff.
Digging In
- I found a couple of journals that seemed promising, with titles like “Journal of Applied Psychology” and “Academy of Management Journal”.
- I browsed through their websites, checking out the “About” sections and the types of articles they publish. I was looking for articles that focused on things like leadership, team dynamics, and motivation – stuff that’s relevant to my daily work.
- I even managed to download a few sample articles. Some of them were pretty dense, with lots of statistics and jargon, but others were surprisingly readable.
Making Notes
As I read,i began to highlight the parts of sentences I found useful and interesting.
I also began to copy and paste some of the highlighted parts into my notebook, so that I can re-read them after to enhance my understanding.

Feeling Accomplished
Honestly, after a couple of hours, my brain felt pretty full. But I also felt like I’d accomplished something. I had a better understanding of what resources are out there, and I even found a few articles that I plan to read more closely later. It’s definitely a topic I’ll continue to explore. Maybe next time I’ll try to find some summaries or reviews of key articles, to make it a bit less overwhelming!
