Okay, so I wanted to dig into the psychology program at Manhattan College. I’ve been thinking about maybe going back to school, and psychology has always interested me. Plus, a friend mentioned Manhattan College, so I figured, why not check it out?

The website was okay. I scrolled through the main page, and it had all the basic info. I saw sections about the faculty, the courses they offer, and some stuff about research opportunities.
I started looking at the different courses. They have the usual suspects like Intro to Psych, Research Methods, and Abnormal Psych. They also had some more specialized courses that caught my eye, like one on cognitive psychology and another on social psychology. I jotted down the names of a few that sounded particularly interesting.
Looking at the Professors: Seem Pretty Legit
Next, I checked out the faculty page. They had pictures and short bios for each professor. I read through a few of them. It seemed like most of them had PhDs and were actively involved in research. That’s a good sign, I guess.

The research part was interesting. I noticed they mentioned opportunities for undergrads to get involved in research projects. That’s something I’d definitely want to do if I went back to school. I made a note to look into that more if I decide to apply.
What to Do Next: Still Thinking
So, after spending some time poking around the website, I have a better idea of what the psychology program at Manhattan College is all about. It seems decent, but I’m not completely sold yet.
