Okay, so I kept hearing about this thing called the ‘cube test’. People were talking about it, seemed like one of those personality things, but more about picturing stuff in your head. Sounded interesting enough, so I thought, why not? Let’s give this a try and see what happens.

Finding out how to do it was easy. Didn’t need a special website or anything, just found the basic instructions someone posted online. It’s not really a ‘test’ test, more like someone guiding your imagination. Simple enough.
Walking Through the Desert Scene
So, I sat down and got started. First, they tell you to imagine a desert. Easy peasy. Big, wide-open space, lots of sand, maybe some dunes. Got the picture in my head.
Then, the main event: picture a cube in that desert. Okay, a cube. My first thought was its size. It wasn’t massive, but not tiny either. Just kinda… medium. And it was sitting right there on the sand, not floating or buried. What was it made of? I dunno, felt kinda like weathered stone, sandstone maybe. Seemed solid.
Next up: add a ladder. Where’s the ladder? Mine appeared leaning against the cube. It was wooden, looked pretty old but strong, like you could actually climb it if you wanted to. Seemed reliable.

Then, imagine a horse. A horse popped up not too far from the cube. It was just standing there, chilling. Looked like a sturdy brown horse, not tied to anything, just hanging out. Seemed pretty calm, maybe swishing its tail.
After the horse, flowers. Had to picture some flowers somewhere. I saw a small patch, not many, maybe five or six, growing near the base of the cube. They were small, kinda like desert wildflowers, maybe purplish.
Finally, a storm. Where’s the storm? I felt it more than saw it at first. It was definitely brewing, dark clouds gathering, but it was way off on the horizon. Not immediately overhead or anything. Looked like it might head my way eventually, but not right now.
So What Did It All Mean?
After I had my whole little desert scene pictured, I looked up the meanings they give to each part. This is where it gets kinda funny or weird, depending on how you look at it.

- The Cube: Apparently, this is supposed to be me, my ego. Its size is self-esteem (medium, okay), material is how open I am (stone… maybe a bit guarded?), placement is how grounded I am (on the sand, seems grounded).
- The Ladder: This represents friends and support. Mine was leaning on the cube (supportive), wooden and strong (reliable). Felt pretty accurate, I have good friends I can count on.
- The Horse: This is your partner or ideal partner. Mine was nearby, calm, untied (close but independent?). Made sense for my relationship, actually.
- The Flowers: These are supposed to be children, or maybe creative projects. A small patch near the cube… well, I don’t have tons of kids or huge projects demanding attention right now, so that fit okay.
- The Storm: Represents troubles or stress. Mine being far off? Yeah, that felt right. I know there’s potential stress out there, but nothing overwhelming right now. This one felt the most spot-on.
My Final Thoughts on This Cube Thing
So, doing this cube test psychology thing… it was an interesting little mental detour. It’s obviously not hard science, you know? It’s all about your own head and what you happen to imagine at that moment. Some of the interpretations felt surprisingly close, especially the storm and the ladder. Others, like the stone cube, made me chuckle and think, “Huh, maybe I am a bit stubborn or hard-headed sometimes.”
It didn’t give me any profound revelations or anything, but it was a neat way to spend ten minutes. Kind of like a weird psychological mirror – it reflects something back at you, based on these simple symbols. Made me pause and think about how I view these different parts of my life, even if it was just through picturing a cube and a horse in the sand. No harm done, just a bit of imaginative fun.
