Getting My Psychology Sweatshirt
Alright, so I decided I wanted a psychology sweatshirt. No big reason, really. Just thought it’d be kinda neat to have one, something comfy to wear that showed off something I’m into. You know how it is.

First thing I did was hop online. Typed “psychology sweatshirt” into the search bar. Man, what a rabbit hole. Saw tons of ’em. Some were pretty cool, simple designs, maybe a brain graphic or a funny quote. But honestly? A lot of it was just cheesy. Stuff like “Freud Squad” or overly complicated diagrams that looked like they belonged in a textbook nobody reads. Not really my style.
I spent maybe an hour just clicking around. Etsy, Redbubble, all those places. Found a few possibles, but the prices on some? Crazy. For a sweatshirt? Nah. Plus, you never know about the quality until it shows up, right? Could be paper-thin or shrink like crazy first wash.
So I thought, maybe I’ll just get one made. There’s a little print shop kinda near me, does t-shirts and stuff. Went down there one afternoon. Showed the guy kinda what I was thinking. Nothing fancy. Just a plain, dark grey sweatshirt, good heavy cotton. And I wanted just the word “Psychology” across the chest. Simple block letters, maybe white or a light grey. Clean.
He pulled out some catalogs, showed me sweatshirt options. Found one that felt decent. Then we looked at fonts on his computer. Picked one out pretty quick. He said it’d be ready in a couple of days.

Here’s what I ended up doing:
- Decided I wanted a simple design, not the flashy online stuff.
- Went to a local print shop instead of ordering online.
- Picked out a specific blank sweatshirt I could actually feel.
- Chose a basic font for the text “Psychology”.
- Placed the order right there.
Went back two days later, picked it up. Tried it on when I got home. Fit pretty good. The print was solid, exactly what I asked for. Nothing amazing, just a straightforward sweatshirt. But it felt good, you know? Like I actually got exactly what I pictured in my head, instead of settling for some random design online.
Been wearing it around. It’s comfy. Does the job. It’s just a sweatshirt at the end of the day, but yeah, kinda glad I went through the process instead of just clicking ‘buy’ online. Felt more deliberate, I guess.
