Okay, so I gotta share what I’ve been up to lately. I picked up this book, you know, the one everyone’s kinda whispering about – “The Ex”. Heard it was a psychological thriller, the kind that messes with your head a bit, and had some crazy twist. I’m a sucker for that stuff.

Getting Started
So, I grabbed a copy. Didn’t really know what to expect, just went in based on the buzz. Settled down, thinking I’d read a chapter or two before bed. Big mistake. Seriously.
The Reading Process
I started reading, and it was okay at first, you know, setting the scene. But then, maybe around chapter three or four? Bam. It just hooked me. I couldn’t put the darn thing down. Found myself sneaking pages during lunch breaks, staying up way later than I should have.
It really plays with your mind. You think you know what’s going on, who’s who, what the deal is with this ‘Ex’. The tension just builds and builds. It’s not like jump scares, more like this creepy feeling crawling up your spine. You start questioning everything the main character thinks and does.
Things I noticed while reading:

- I kept trying to guess the ending. Failed miserably every single time.
- Found myself talking back to the characters. Like, “No, don’t go in there!” kind of stuff.
- The ‘unputdownable’ description? Totally accurate. My sleep schedule got wrecked for a couple of days.
The Twist
And then… the twist. Man. They weren’t kidding when they called it heartstopping. It came out of nowhere. I literally had to put the book down for a second, just stared at the wall, thinking, “Wait, what?”. Had to reread that part just to make sure I got it right. It completely changed everything I thought I knew about the story.
Finished!
Finished it in like, two days flat. Felt a bit drained afterwards, honestly, but in a good way. Like I’d run a marathon. It’s one of those books that sticks with you for a bit after you close the final page. You just keep replaying parts of it in your head. Definitely a wild ride from start to finish.
