Okay, here’s the blog post about the “tarot birthday spread” practice, following all your requirements.

Alright, so the other day, I decided to give this “tarot birthday spread” thing a try. I’ve dabbled in tarot here and there, but never really gotten into the birthday spreads. But hey, my birthday’s coming up, so I figured, why not?
First things first, I needed to find a spread that made sense to me. I looked at a bunch of different ones, some with like a million cards, others more simple. I ended up going with a 12-card spread, one card for each month of the upcoming year. Seemed like a good balance, you know? Not too overwhelming, but still gave a decent overview.
Getting the Cards Ready
Next, I got my trusty tarot deck out. I gave it a good shuffle while thinking about my intentions for the year ahead, just kinda setting the mood. Some people like to cleanse their decks with incense or crystals or whatever, but I just held it for a bit, focused on what I wanted to get out of the reading.
Then, I laid out the cards in a circle, following the order of the months, starting with my birth month. Each card represented a different month and the kind of energy or themes I could expect during that time.

Interpreting the Cards
Now came the fun part – figuring out what it all meant! I’m no tarot expert, but I have a few books and websites I like to use for reference. I started with the first card, representing my birth month. I pulled The Star. Okay, not bad! Hope, inspiration, renewal – that sounds like a great way to kick off the year.
I went through each card, one by one, jotting down some notes about what each one usually means and how it might relate to my life. Some cards were pretty clear, like The Sun for July – obviously gonna be a bright and happy month. Others were a bit more, uh, mysterious. Like, I got The Hanged Man for October. Still not entirely sure what that’s gonna be about, but I guess I’ll find out!
Here’s a quick rundown of what I pulled:
- May (Birth Month): The Star
- June: The Lovers
- July: The Sun
- August: Strength
- September: The Hermit
- October: The Hanged Man
- November: Death
- December: Temperance
- January: The Devil
- February: The Tower
- March: The Moon
- April: The World
After I looked up all the cards, I just sat there for a while, letting it all sink in. It was actually pretty cool to see how the cards lined up with some of the things I already had planned or hoped for in the coming year.

Overall, I have to say, I really enjoyed doing this birthday spread. It was a fun way to reflect on the past year and look ahead to the next one. I don’t know if I totally believe that these cards can predict the future or anything, but it definitely gave me some food for thought. And hey, if nothing else, it was a nice way to spend an afternoon, you know? I’m thinking I might make this a yearly tradition. We’ll see what happens!
